Burke, L.E.Wang, J.Sevick, M.A.
This systematic review by Hallock assesses the effectiveness of self-monitoring of weight for weight loss. It finds that daily self-weighing is associated with greater weight loss and better weight-loss maintenance compared to infrequent or no self-monitoring, with daily frequency showing the strongest association with sustained results.
