A cross-sectional survey of 5,000 French adults evaluated awareness and participation in the 2024 Dry January alcohol abstinence campaign. Researchers found that 61 percent of past-year drinkers knew of the campaign and 12 percent participated. Participants were more likely to report hazardous drinking and health concerns, confirming that the initiative effectively engages higher-risk individuals.
